This is the type of book that draws you in from the very beginning. The opening scene makes you wonder if you really know what's going on. Tessa Leoni, the main character, is accused of killing her husband, and possibly her daughter. As you read the story, you are constantly wondering what really happened.
One thing that frustrates me with books is when there's a complicated story with an easy ending - it feels like a cop-out. This book definitely did NOT do that. Gardner does a great job wrapping up the story - it doesn't take forever, but also doesn't get wrapped up in a couple pages. It was just right. I highly recommend it for people who enjoy action-packed books.
