Nocturne by Syrie James

NocturneFirst, let me warn you to be careful about reading reviews for this book. I came across quite a few that contain spoilers on Goodreads.com.

The main character, Nicole Whitcomb, finds herself rescued by Michael Tyler, a mystery man, in a winter storm. She eventually learns of his dark secret and has some secrets of her own.

Michael Tyler's secret is revealed pretty early in the book, which I liked. You can see the story unfold from there. Some of the storyline was predictable, but the ending was still a surprise. You're not quite sure how it will wrap up.

I'm not big on romance novels so I was glad this one didn't lay it on too thick. It's definitely a light read. I read the entire book this afternoon and would recommend it for people looking for a good Saturday afternoon fiction book with some surprises.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

Sounds like a cool story! I'd pass it to my neighbor when I finish. She loves reading.

I love mysteries. I don't maintain a blog, so I'll give it to my public library.

I would give it to my wife! She is a voracious reader. When she is done with it, I would either pass it along to Amanda, or perhaps my mother in law. Sorry, wouldn't read it myself - just not my style. ;)
