Surviving your Serengeti by Stefan Swanepoel

Surviving Your Serengeti: 7 Skills to Master Business and Life
Who doesn't face challenges in their business or personal life?  Surviving your Serengeti discusses life's demands and how to face them in a novel format.  In this book, Swanepoel tells the story of travelers on a safari.  These adventurers learn about the unique skills of animals they discover and how those same skills can be applied in their own lives.

Some of the key takeaways for me from the characteristics of the animals portrayed in the book:

- Efficient isn't the same as 'fast', it's about optimizing resources.

- Appreciate what you have.

- How you win is more important than winning.

- Take calculated risks.  Small achievements can boost your confidence.

The book is an easy read for a business book, yet offers some great principles.   Swanepoel doesn't go very in depth on applying these skills which makes for a quick read and may open your eyes to areas you want to further explore.
