3 great books for social media beginners

Still not on board with Twitter? Wondering if all these “tweeters” just have too much time on their hands?  If so, Twitter Marketing for Dummies is for you.  It’s the perfect book for readers who just don’t get Twitter and offers an introduction to how and why you would use this tool.

The Social Media Marketing Book
by Dan Zarrella gives a broader view of social media, moving beyond just Twitter.  It offers a hands-on approach for getting started with the popular tools such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn.  This book is to the point and very practical.

Love You More by Lisa Gardner

Love You More (Detective D.D. Warren #5)
This is the type of book that draws you in from the very beginning. The opening scene makes you wonder if you really know what's going on. Tessa Leoni, the main character, is accused of killing her husband, and possibly her daughter. As you read the story, you are constantly wondering what really happened.

One thing that frustrates me with books is when there's a complicated story with an easy ending - it feels like a cop-out. This book definitely did NOT do that. Gardner does a great job wrapping up the story - it doesn't take forever, but also doesn't get wrapped up in a couple pages. It was just right. I highly recommend it for people who enjoy action-packed books.

Disclaimer: I won this book as a GoodReads giveaway.

Nocturne by Syrie James

NocturneFirst, let me warn you to be careful about reading reviews for this book. I came across quite a few that contain spoilers on Goodreads.com.

The main character, Nicole Whitcomb, finds herself rescued by Michael Tyler, a mystery man, in a winter storm. She eventually learns of his dark secret and has some secrets of her own.
